Would you even want one?
I mean, if you had to pick any career in Sports......cfb head coach, NFL QB, PGA Tour Golfer, MLB manager, or any job in sports under the Sun........what would it be?

I'd pick a PGA golfer over any other competitive role...granted I was actually good enough to make a living at it.
As far as overall job I think a game announcer would be pretty fun...being the next Larry Munson would be a pretty enjoyable career as long as you cared about the team you were covering.
The travel in both of those jobs would be a pain though...

Golf without a doubt. Light schedule, get to travel all over the world, can play as long as you want, and you can get big money without winning.

Yeah, Pro Golfer would be appealing.....
No teammates, no head coach.....you're your own boss. With the possibility of getting to play at Augusta and maybe winning the greatest prize in sports someday........The Green Jacket.
But, it's definitely not a light schedule. Four-day tournaments......with practice and traveling and Real Life taking up the other three days of the week.
The more I think about it.....Sports Careers suck. Also, I originally was going to make this thread..... "Are cfb Head Coaches good people?" I mean.....I guess I don't understand the drive it takes to want your career to consume you 24 seven 365.....

I would argue that Nascar driver pre-1990 was the greatest job ever in sports though.............

As an athlete? Golf without question.
As a non-athlete? Supports staff for a major college football program. Pretty much doing anything behind the scenes, preferably in a managerial type role that would allow me to travel with the team

I would want Keith Jackson's old gig. Saw the biggest game every week for 30+ years and got paid for it.

I thought about it a while. If it's to be an athlete then probably a MLB player.
If it's not as an athlete then a coordinator at an Big 5 school.

I'd love to be the play by play announcer.

Sometimes I fantasize about being middle linebacker for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Fùtbol star in BPL. Money and slags out the arse and a career that can last 20+ years if you're lucky/good enough.

Let us in on a scene from this fantasy........
Pretend it's the Meineke Car Care Bowl.....Tech is up by 1 in the 4th quarter........and Fresno State is driving down the field with only seconds remaining. 4th and Goal.......Sweat droplets trickling down CPJ's turkey neck........
Uh oh. MLB Christopher looks like he is anticipating something.......
What do ya got?

I fear it would involve inappropriately pis*ing into something on the sideline.

Coach wants to kick me off the team because I hit to hard.. but he realizes I am wise & mature beyond my years and allows me to play anyway.... Gurley catches a pitch off tackle and I bury that fcker at the line of scrimmage... NO GAIN... like I always do.

Yeah...see I wasn't thinking broad enough...
... I would add sponsored, pro surfer to my list. Known for traveling the world to ride some of those big arse waves you only see in National Geographic.
I would run my enterprise from my beach house in Kuaii....until golf season when I head to the states to defend my grand slam...again...
