I've heard from a couple of Auburn friends that he's having some issues with his back. Can you guys provide any updates for the board?

We don't release any injury info on our players. It's going to be hard enough beating the bert's as is. If that guy knew any of our player injury issues.....well, he did go to a bunch of Rose Bowls, so that's all you need to know about his coaching abilities.

He is having surgery today. Not sure how serious but I cannot imagine that he would be able to play this year. Redshirt. In the Spring...coaches looked seriously at bringing former starter, Pat Miller back to RT and sliding current starter Avery Young over to Guard. Because that's really the only variation from the starting 5 that we saw, I would imagine that's what we will do. Other options would be 5* Diamond, or 5* Braden Smith. Disappointing about Kozan, but he didn't take a redshirt so he can redshirt this year and heal up, where we have more and higher quality depth than arguably any other position, and let someone else step up...we will be fine this year and in great shape when he comes back next year and we should lose only Dismukes from the original starting 5 (If Miller is who is added, he is a senior too, no others are).

Not good, sounds like the injury bug is hitting Auburn.

Auburn is deeper and more talented than I can ever remember. Losing Kozan and Carl Lawson stings...but there is plenty of other talent to step up...and neither of those guys redshirted, so they will lose no eligibility. It's just an opportunity for someone else to step up. It's unfortunate, but I wouldn't call it the injury bug just yet...we lose 2-3 more starters or major contributers and I'll jump on the hand-wringing bandwagon. At this point, it's not even as bad as if Arky lost Alex Collins...you'd say "f***!", then remember that you have 2 awesome RB's left and you are in better shape than most of the SEC.

Oh...well that sucks. So he will miss his sophomore season and come back as a Junior with 2 years left...not so bad. Dang Alzheimers.

not that it really matters, but neither one of these guys were 5 stars, just to clarify.

Actually, both were 5*s on Scouts.

If we're going to nitpick, might as well get specific.
