Is that weird? I saw a video of Air Force trainees performing pt, and instantly I had the smell of that air pop in my head.

** do not mean sweaty arse smell

Sounds like a nervous system disorder. Do your eyes see random shite when you taste food as well?

I can walk out of my house first thing in the morning and someones car exhaust will trigger a memory of Artillery smoke...and there is nothing like the smell of wolf pussy in the morning

Everyone's house has a different scent. Occasionally I'll go into someone's home with just the right scent, and all of a sudden I'm 8 years old again playing at my Grandmother's house.

There's also a fairly common (apparently) women's shampoo that one whiff takes me right back to a shitty ex-girlfriend. I thank God my wife doesn't use it. I may have felt differently about her from the beginning.

This is very common with music as well. Here a song and instantly get blasted back to when you first heard the song

Smells can do that. I can smell fresh cut grass and I almost immediately get an adrenaline rush for just a sec, because it reminds me of HS football practice....30+ years ago.

Music also does that to me. Rebel Yell by Billy Idol, summer of 1984. Other songs back further than that. I generally can associate a particular popular song of the time with what I was doing then.

Happens to me all the time.

Smells, fragrances, ... brings back all sorts of memories. Usually though, they are triggered by something you're unaware of around you.

Catching a whiff of a certain brand of cigarettes reminds me of my dad who we lost when I was young.
