TT and I were discussing this and I wanted to bring it to the whole board: Who do y'all think is the best backup QB in the SEC this year? Also, what do y'all look for out of your backup QB?

I'll try to keep the OP updated with a tally of the votes.

For the non-hardcore fans:

Bama: Blake Sims, Cooper Bateman
Arkansas: Austin Allen
Auburn: Jeremy Johnson
Florida: Skylar Morningweg
Georgia: Faton Bauta, Brice Ramsay
Kentucky: Maxwell Smith, Reese Phillips
LSU: Jennings or Harris
MSU: Damian Williams
OM: Devante Kincaide
Missouri: Eddie Printz
USC: Connor Mitch
UT: Josh Dobbs
aTm: Kenny Hill
Vandy: Patton Robinette
TIA

Kenny Hill/Kyle Allen

Whoever starts (hoping its KA) the other (hoping its KH) will be a very good backup and would probably be the starter at every school other than AU.

Jeremy Johnson at Auburn. But he is likely to play some in the Arky game. Possibly start.

Neither would start at Ole Miss, MSU, Bama, Auburn, Mizzou, or Arkansas*

Auburn is certainly sitting pretty with Jeremy Johnson.

Although he is not the most talented, Anthony Jennings does have moderately significant experience as he started last year's Outback Bowl for LSU.

Tennessee have a lack of talent but plenty of experience at the backup spot, whoever that may be, since they played about seven QBs last season.

Ole Miss has two talented backups in Ryan Buchanan and Devante Kincaid.

Jeremy Johnson hands down and there isn't another backup even close to JJ right now. I personally think Devante Kincade is going to be special, but haven't seen him in actual SEC action yet.

Every time I see him play, and consider that he is now in his second season with tGusBus and Loeffler, I get scurred.

Dude's gonna be a friggin' Heisman contender.

probably whoever is the backup at Alabama . But seriouslly, with, what, 10 new starting QBs coming into the season, it's about impossible to say with any certainty. I don't believe Florida, Ole Miss, or Miss State have anyone of note I can think of. This is probably the most unknown the QB position has been in the SEC in a long long time, after 2013 had some of the most experienced and talented QBs, conference wide, in quite awhile.

Bro is good. Great? frick no.

PS: I wasn't speaking on terms of Bo's ability. I was speaking on terms of how shitty your QBs are.

I don't the know backup for Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee , Florida or South Carolina... I'll say Blake Sims... Cause Saban said he had a good Spring and he wouldn't lie to the media.

Whoever is the backup in Alabama. Just waiting for #1 to leave so he can win a ship as a first year starter!
