Dooley was much better than Bret in year one, but he never really improved.

It will be interesting to see. Right now, I'm leaning towards Dooley. Much better recruiter.

Bert is at a better program with a higher ceiling for success.

Dooley was at a stepping stone school.

Also it's an unfair comparison. Dooley was trying to handle the dumpster fire started by Kiffin. Bert's dumpster fire doesn't compare to Dooley's.

I'll put you down for Dooley then, as he outperformed Bret in year one at a lesser program.

So

3 - Dooley

0 - Bret

It is an interesting question. Bert has a better history but one has to wonder if he was making hay off Barry's framework. They both seem to be in the press for all the wrong reasons. I believe Bert will get a pass longer than Dooley. So maybe he'll figure it out.

A coach being fired the way Petrino was and a year of JLS along with a terrible roster has to be worse than what dooley walked in to

As of now, Bert has the worst SEC winning % of all-time, so I'm going with Dooley.

I'm going to go with bert. We know for sure Dooley was a failure, Bert's contract gets him 3 more years at least to get things going.

You need to do a better job with your response threads.

Obvious troll is obvious.

The answer is Bret... he'll eventually have arkansas to a respectable level.

Google info on UT's AD and money. Things were pretty bad at UT before Kiffin and he didn't help matters. Dooley walked into a disaster.

Good points.

Plus Dooley had an overrated QB/receiving corps and Bert had the best RB tandem in the SEC according to some. The respective first seasons speak for themselves.

I just love when Bama fans try to defend the Tenn program.

Always trying to make their auto win every year look like a "rivalry"

Its not just the fans, Saban was trying to justify 5-7 teams making a bowl game yesterday.
