LINK

The SEC Network is set for one of the most successful sports network launches in history now that DirecTV, the nation's largest satellite company, emailed Outkick that the company is "quite hopeful" and "expects to be able to provide the network soon." The public comments of DirecTV square with the private comments of SEC and ESPN executives, who are confident that a deal is near as well.

I would imagine the pressure is going to be unbelievable in the next couple weeks for any provider who doesn't pick it up.

Obvious announcement is obvious. Did anyone really think they would not get it and risk losing millions of subscribers.

The SEC and ESPN probably don't have to budge because any cable provider in the south will have a hard time surviving without the network
