Is Jacob Coker the most overrated QB who hasn't taken a snap ever?

I think Jacob Coker is getting way too much hype
Alabama fans think he will be able to slide right in and be fine
I think they are in for a rude awakening
It will take time for him to get going
I know Mettenberger had a lot of hype behind him but the expectations weren't this high
Fortunately the rest of Alabama is good enough to where he can struggle and the rest of the team can pick up the slack
Expect a lot of low scoring wins, like Alabama's game vs. Colorado State last year
Guy will be a bust... another QB will take his spot next year

Well, the thought is he doesn't have to do very much with all the talent Bama has surrounding him. However, putting him on Heisman lists and projecting him as a 1st round NFL pick AT THIS POINT is just silly.

Mettenberger had good games... it was LSU's defense that let them down last year

Not saying he will suck
But people are putting him as a Davey O'Brien finalist, first team ALL SEC lists, etc.

That was just from LSU fans though. The national media has given more hype to Coker than any transfer QB in recent years including Cam.

Coker will not win a Heisman, because he wont be asked to. He will likely win games though. He is getting way to overhyped as far as the stats that he will put up, but not as far as leading the team and winning games.

All he has to do is protect the ball and hit open WRs. No one will expect him to carry the team. He'll be no worse than McElroy or McCarron their first years...... both won BCS Championships.
