In 1930, native Georgian Bobby Jones won The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England..

As an amateur....

It was his 3rd consecutive major win of the year on his way to completing "The Grand Slam".

The one and only time it has ever been done. IN history. SO far.

Next week....The oldest major championship in Golf will once again return to the site of Georgian Bobby JOnes historic victory at Royal Liverpool in England.............

But this time there will be 12 Georgians coming for the Claret jug.................

Six of them from UGA.........

Erik Compton
Harris English
Russel Henley
Chris Kirk
Brendon Todd
and
Bubba Watson

Didn't realize this was coming up so soon with the world cup and Lebron taking 99% of sports airtime.

Looking forward to a Georgia leaderboard on Sunday

Savannah native and UGA alum, Brain Harmon is currently leading the John Deere Classic!

A win would qualify him for a trip to England to play in the British Open next week.

someone beat you to it....

(Th 4/11/13 09:32 I just emailed this to feedback on Masters.com [I've tweaked it.])

I AM writing a book entitled Freemasonry Encoded Golf at St. Andrews followed by Freemasonry Encoded Golf at The Masters. I've discovered how the primary precept of sacred geometry/gematria(8,74): GOD=7_4 was used in the design of both The Old Course and Augusta National. I was disappointed that the 07:40 Ceremonial Opening Tee Shots off Hole(40) One(34)/Number(73=N14+U21+M13+B2+E5+R18) 1 was not shown live anywhere. Why not? Golf(4 letters) Channel(7) has all these "Live Reports from The Masters", yet they're not able to show real live coverage and then ESPN takes over at 15:00. Why not let Golf Channel show real live golf? Or why not let ESPN begin their coverage at 07:30 and continue all day?

----------------------------------------------

Right directly across the street on Washington Road from the entrance of Augusta National and Magnolia Lane is a Scottish Rite Temple (google that).

LINK

Augusta National was founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts. Scottish Dr. McAllister was brought in to co-design the course with Jones. The BIG question is, "Were these three men Masons?"

Augusta National is playing at 7435 yards with a 74 course rating. Hole #7 is a par 4 440 yds and #17 Par 4 440 yds with the "Eisenhower Tree".

Rae's Creek & Ra: the Egyptian Sun-god & the R&A.

Amen Corner.

Bobby Jones is "President of Augusta National in Perpetuity" and he was reincarnated as Tiger Woods.

2013 is the 77th Masters. Through chaos theory and its self-organization, the average age of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player is 77 with Player being 77. There have now been 77 aces in the history of the Par 3 Tournament. Tiger Woods enters the week with 77 victories. Some unfortunate players will shoot 77 this week, let's see who?

Master #1 = 77 = M13+A1+S19+T20+E5+R18
Christ = 77 = C3+H8+R18+I9+S19+T20
power = 77 = P16+O15+W23+E5+R19
Watson = 77 = W23+A1+T20+S19+O+N14

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Augusta National opened in December 1932. The first rounds were played in January '33 and the first Masters was played in '34. There are all very important numbers to 32 & 33 degree Masons.

Harmon still in lead at John Deere. Only a 1 stroke lead though now...going into Sunday.

This is a big deal because the player who plays his way into a major the week before it starts always gets a lot of attention. Jordan Spieth did it from this tournament last year after his debut win at the John Deere.

Harmon better be having someone fed-ex him his passport just in case.

CBS was throwing up UGA graphics all day today and talking about #TheGeoriaPipeline non-stop, btw.....

Harman gets in if he's top 4 of non-qualified players I believe. A lot of players in the top 15 of the tournament aren't qualified for the Open yet so Harmon needs to have a fairly decent round to end up at Hoy Lake.

Wish it was that easy.

Unfortunately, his only ticket to Royal Liverpool is with a win tomorrow. His first ever PGA win.

Dang. You're right. I knew that the Greenbrier and Congressional had four spots each so i assumed the John Deere got four as well. The Scottish gets three as well from what I've seen. Is there any way he can get in if Stricker or Johnson finish first and Harman gets second? I know those guys are already qualified so I wasn't sure if they count.

Open qualification

Honestly, i'm just going by what the CBS announcers said today. Which is "Win.....and he's in". Otherwise, he watches on the TV like you and me.

Would also be a huge paycheck for him. They said it would pay more than what he's earned total so far as a pro.. Almost a million, i believe..

It would definitely be huge, but I'm pretty sure he's already won $1 million this year. I think we have 8 golfers with over a million earned, and Harman has already had 5 top tens this year so I think he's one of them. I'm definitely pulling for him tomorrow.
