He's 7 feet tall at 13. Of course he's skinny. You'd have to never leave your bed to even have a shot at keeping meat on that kind of growth.

My gf went to AB. She said most of the kids from there either go to UCA or tFlagship

She thinks we get him

Swear to god he could pass as Dirk Nowitzki's kid. A face only a mother could love and the nose of a champion. Someone needs to get him on that one-legged fadeaway asap.

I've watched Dirk play, literally, hundreds of games. This kid's game reminds me of Dirk so much. His form isn't the same on the jumper, but his moves in the post are incredibly similar.

Hope he's able to put on some good weight, because he looks like he's got a special future, IMO.

It will depend on his knees and feet.

That is where you usually see people over 7' break down, some of these guys can't play in an uptempo system, they end up with nagging feet and knee injuries.

He's 4 years from graduating HS, seems to have a nice touch on his shot but the athleticism is what will have to improve 20fold or he'll be a shorter Shawn Bradley.

The last thing he's going to want to see this season is Malik Monk driving down the lane on him.

The 6'9" kid from Lincoln has a similar game as him, built like a bean pole, plays on the perimeter and can stroke from the outside because no one can up to challenge his shot.

Those 2 kids should be dominating just from the size differential alone in the small classifications. I'm curious to see how Soehner (PG) 6'7 260 and Goldman 6'9 190 (Lincoln) match up this coming year. They're different types of players but they'll have to guard each other or both of them will go off.

Talked to an AB teacher who had him in class last year, said the kid has an older brother that is about that tall as well, but Conner is much more coordinated.

good thing he's playing for a school in a large classification that will put him against the best competition every game!

I love how one of his highlights is rejecting a 4-foot-something kid's shot.

I would have to think that 7'0 is actually too tall for his age, and he'll likely have some health issues.

oh yea ol' boy certainly grabbed my attention. Would love to see that kid keep progressing and be at an elite level in a few years wearing the cardinal and white and sometimes anthracite/cool grey.

Dude will be a pick-n-pop nightmare once he fills out enough to set a pick.

I doubt it. Dirk was never athletic. He just needs to develop a Dirk-like release point to make his shots unblockable and learn to go from his back to the basket to fading away. With players built like this, you have to take the good with the bad. Dirk has been a defensive liability his entire career, I don't see Conner being any different. From what I saw, he looks like a carbon copy of Dirk.

This is strictly in terms of his own personal success. A player of his build and play-style will not fit in well at Arkansas at all. He would immediately impact our half-court offense, but he would offer nothing on fast breaks. I'm honestly not sure if his body would hold up playing for Arkansas.
