Tre Mason is one of the most "shifty" RBs in the hole to every play CFB. Even if CAP can 'juke' better than Tre, there is almost no way he has Tre's vision and balance running up the middle. Also, Tre played about 20 pounds heavier than he weighed.

CAP should be solid even great but going to be hard to come close to Tre's level

He has to get that read-option down pat with Nick or he wont be on the field long.

He seems almost as good but I don't know if he is better than Tre. Tre averaged more YPC than him against every SEC team except OM and the 2 carries he had against Mizzou. My biggest thing is seeing how well he can hold on to the ball.

Correct assessment. Tre just found the open spot on the field. He was the best I've seen at doing that. Smart guy. I'm sure his prep work helped identify weak spot on the D line.

No

Mason had better vision, harder to take down (better balance), better patience, found a way into the EZ, and tougher IMO.

Depends on what you define as better, I guess. It's going to be tough for any Auburn runningback to top his production numbers.

CAP is good. If he was better than Tre, he would have gotten the bulk of the carries last year.

Tre had very good YAC yards, Ill reserve judgement until I see CAP to that

Im in this boat as well. If he is going to be better than Tre, he has some shoes to fill.

Tre was very solid

Mason took a couple years to develop into what he was in 2013... I think once CAP starts getting more carries, he'll be better as well... His size/speed combo is impressive, but tre had amazing balance and toughness, especially for a guy his size.

have we given up on Barber? He was the pre season favorite. Did his one play in the spring game change anyones mind?

Do we know his injury status?

I do wonder why the coaches are saying they are going to play ROC and not RS him with 3 RBs supposedly ahead of him.

Barber is probably the new player, that will for sure play this year, that I am most looking forward to seeing.

If Grant could take the beating and hold onto the ball I wouldn't mind seeing him start. He seems to have the best big play ability.

I love that bama gif... They are known for power and stacking the box... Our Oline overpowers them and makes a nice little hole for tre to dart through!

Frick you for making me see FSU highlights!

I think the Online is gonna be even nastier this year, so CAP or Barber or Grant is gonna tear it up. We'll lead the SEC in rushing again this year, and the Coates, Williams, Marshall combo will rack up some yardage too.
