I still would like to know how an aircraft flying at that altitude and those speeds, and being a reg passenger jet, didn't fall apart.

You can't tell me 2 measly jets can cause 2 gigantic reinforced concrete buildings to fall on itself.

Only way to get rid of cancer infested buildings of that size is to make it look like an accident.

After numerous reports of hijackings still a plane found its way into one of the most restricted airspace in the country in D.C.

Crash site in PA...even the locals were dumbfounded by supposedly Boeing crashing there....no seats, luggage, wings, fuselage nothing in a open field. Haha

That was profoundly stupid and it gave me douche chills.

Also, you misspelled Jordan.

Also, I was the first to inform you of the misspelling.

This thread seems to be in critical condition now, and I have my doubts that it makes it beyond the next 2 days, for sure. But, I want to offer my last words.

My distant but personal story related to 9/11:

I last saw aircraft N334AA (the AA aircraft that struck the north tower) about 6 weeks before 9/11. This aircraft was in a rotation of ships that routinely flew between RDU and LGW, until the route was taken over by the 777. I worked with dispatch for another airline at RDU at the time. One evening I remember watching a group of AA mechanics changing a tire on this particular flight before its departure back to London. The usual and new 777-200 had been swapped out for a 767-200ER. The aircraft was N334AA, a plane I had been used to seeing. I watched and talked with the mechanics as they worked to get one of the main gear tires off, which was heavy. When 9/11 occurred and I found out about the aircraft type involved, I knew the towers were going to collapse and wondered why no one on the news had even mentioned it. These airplanes are robustly built and can carry over 23,000 gallons of fuel, that's about 160,000 pounds of Jet A, which is like a high grade diesel. Then you have the aircraft weight and velocity and impact to figure in. That's makes for quite the weapon for demolishing a building. The floors above both impact zones simply weighed down on a burning, comprised structure until the trusses softened and gave way. It's simple physics. So when I read these dumb arse conspiracy theories it's not only silly, it's offensive. Let's end it.

Cheers to the upcoming season

I believe this has been brought up several times. The damage caused by the impact of the jets was substantial, but not the cause of the failure. The heat of combustion of Jet Fuel A combined with damage to heat shielding on the supports of the building eventually led to failure.

You are correct, it is basic physics. People who buy into conspiracies don't truly want to discuss the physics, they want to believe in the fantastic story of a shadowy government pulling the greatest covert operation in history to pull off an attack on its own people.

This thread has gone in circles more times than a NASCAR race and should probably be anchored.
