In NFL.com's 14 for '14 series, they listed the top 14 CFB Coaches for 2014:

14. Mike Riley, OSU
13. Jimbo Fisher, FSU
12. Kevin Sumlin, Texas A&M
11. Steve Spurrier, USC

10. David Cutcliffe, Duke
9. Gary Patterson, TCU
8. Mike Dantonio, MSU
7. Bob Stoops, OU
6. Art Briles, Baylor
5. Bill Snyder, Kansas St.
4. David Shaw, Stanford
3. Urban Meyer, OSU
2. Chris Petersen, Washington
1. Nick Saban, Alabama

Should be fascinating to watch one of the top coaches in college football coach the Auburn-Kansas St. game on September 18th. Gus Malzahn will be there too.

Sumlin? Really?

Spurrier should be higher than Patterson and Bob Stoops. Chris Peterson should be lower than Shaw and Dantonio and even Briles. This list is a steaming pile of elephant shite.

Sucks that Malzahn was left out considering he has half as many SEC titles as Saban does

I like Sumlin, but the fact that he on this list (ahead of Fisher) and before Richt/Miles is an absolute joke.

I guess the NFL likes coaches that fail in the NFL.

While I agree with most of the list, Sumlin>>Miles is a fricking laugh.

I agree Gus has no place in the NFL. That gimmicky shite needs to stay in college. Hell, it probably wouldn't even work outside of Auburn.
