You should try Stanley's Barbeque on South Beckham Ave across from Mother Francis Hospital. The owner Nick is a cool guy and they have live music there now and then. It's one of the few non chain places you can hang out and sip beer at.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess that he works in the medical field.
That is pretty much the main reason most have for moving to Tyler.
