My takeaway is UF anchors the east in both academics and athletics and TAMU bookends the west.

Tough call

Mizzou is near the bottom of the AAU and might get the boot like Nebraska did and Kansas still might.

UGA has damn good academics but let Georgia Tech get the research dollars for years. Like Bama law vs UAB med and UAH tech.

Funnier because Vanderbilt is still #1 in academics and beat Georgia and Florida in football this year.

Yeah UGA would be more respected academically if they didn't have GT right down the road

They are already respected, just 2 types of higher education models

Academic model = UGA, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and West Point

Research model = GT, Minnesota, California, and TAMU
