SIAP- what is the story on this kid? He's a top ranked RB and lists offers from tons of major programs including some big time SEC schools and FSU. Why is he committed to FAU? Is he just fricking around?

Well unlike some certain Texas schools, they win their conference.
But to be honest, I think he has ties to the coaching staff.

I was looking more for insight on whether he will actually sign there from fans of teams that I'm sure are still recruiting him. Should have been more clear on my part

No worries man, I've just kept up with his recruitment since last summer. Here's what I've read/heard why he will go to FAU:
1. 20 mins from home
2. he and his family are very close with Roger (College position coach AND HS coach he's known since 8th grade)
3. Playing time
4. Flexibility
Only way I see him decommit is if he gets a new Truck weeks before signing day.

His ex-HS HC is now on staff at FAU.
I'd be surprised if he ends up there, but we will find out.

Interesting. I can't remember that highly rated of a player signing with that low level of a school tbh.

Look back at Storm Johnson. He tried to commit to LSU a few years back and we said no. Then committed to Miami, and eventually ended up at UCF.
I believe he was a 4-star, but I'm on my phone and too lazy to look it up.

That is accurate. He was a good RB, but many teams passed on him.

I forgot about that guy. Southern Miss is still higher profile than FAU, by a return good amount actually
