Florida just picked up an all conference TE, maybe just maybe we're going to win the conference next year and save Boom's job.

Is winning the conference what is required for Boom to keep his job?

No. General consensus seems to be 8-9 wins. Personally I think Foley will bend over backward to keep him, either because of his confidence that Boom will eventually grow into a HC or because he (Foley) doesn't want to admit he made a terrible hire. Not sure which. But 7-5 may even be enough if there is some improvement.

No, but that would do it. Don't ask me what is required, because I don't know. I do know that if he loses any of the first 3 games he might not get to give the post game interviews.

This is big for our O. This kid is good.
I'm hoping we get to 8 or 9 wins. I think if there is a competent O, and a definite improvement he will stay.

If the offense improves, Florida will automatically be a dangerous team for anyone on the schedule.

The defense has never been the issue, and has kept UF in many a game the past 2 years, despite the offensive ineptitude.

If the offense even climbs into the top 75 statistically? They won't lose too many games.

If the issue last year really was injury, getting 9 wins shouldn't be that hard. Our defense will be top 10 again, and our offense can easily make huge improvements. We have a lot of talent on our roster. It's just being misused on offense.

Now, if Driskel continues to be turn over prone and slow, we could be in for another long season. But I think the new offense suits him well.

Florida beat Texas A&M with a bad offense. Just think what they'd do if they actually could score points.

They should look into adding a recruiting board, or maybe even a florida specific board for y'all to post this type of stuff on.

Nothing Donovan does at this point would surprise me.

Practically nobody at the time should have considered it a terrible hire. The guy was one of the hottest assistants in the country and could have taken almost any open HC job. Hindsight is a bitch.
