Might want a more descriptive title and quotes for context.

150-160 million? And that's in addition to the regular SEC media payout? Holy shite

Something's fishy.

I think I need someone to explain to me the point of individual team boards on this site vs. the SEC Rant, because I see more threads started by Bama & Auburn fans about their respective schools than any other fan base about theirs.
Just seems like you'd have a better discussion about topics like these amongst your own fan base?

Yes, 15-16 per year. not sure what they were before, but I would suspect this is anywhere from 2-4 million increase.
Im surprised, bama of all teams, doesnt use IMG

Sure:
Alabama Board - for Alabama fans and select invitees to discuss Alabama sports.
Other team boards - for other team's fans to discuss Alabama sports.
SECRant - for all of us to discuss Alabama sports together.

Article says it doubles Alabama's guarantee from the previous contract, but doesn't say what the guarantee was or is.

This will put UA's deal 3rd, behind ND and Texas.

Not necessarily. I don't know how long the previous contract was set up for... But we can all agree that these deals have been rapidly increasing every year.
The previous deal may have been a good deal based on the market. Now we got a better deal by double even after we took away third tier broadcast rights.
I'm glad we are not with IMG. Texas is with them. Would rather have priority.
I'll admit that we have some clowns in our fanbase, but don't let the clowns overshadow the fact that it's one of the best around.

I said IMG because of Battle
I did find it interesting that this deal also includes other aspects that most dont, like concessions etc..
quote:
Those rights include concessions, pouring rights, isotonic beverage, seat rentals and merchandise, which combined can account for 25 percent to 30 percent of the revenue from the property.
