I would be pleased with the hire. Was 3rd on my list after Marshall and Howland.

Hope this is true. The more I've learned about him and the style he runs the more I like him. He seems like not just a good coach but a great fit with the program/fans.

Has TN athletics not learned their lesson about hiring from Louisiana Tech?

Meh

Fanbase wanted Pearl…ran Conzo for a below mid major guy that has not coached a team to the dance.

^We tried to get him to change his surname to Black but he wasn't interested. Said that's the name he was born with and that's the name he's keeping.

It is not the flashy hire that some wanted but this is a solid hire... White is one of the guys I wanted if Grant was fired and Ole Miss would probably like to have him too...

For the record the displeasure with Cuonzo was at mid season with bad losses and no tourny on the horizon for the 3rd year in a row - the team had a really good turn around and the displeasure eased up greatly. He wasn't run off - he left. Supposedly his raise was okay but the buyout wasn't.

He's the dude who played Spawn and Black Dynamite. He's been in some Old Spice commercials too.

Keep telling yourself that. Petition from the fan base did not help and loud cries to bring back Bruce was heard.

I assume White was under Kennedy at Ole Miss before heading to Tech?

Not a sexy hire.
