It takes a certain kind of sadist to wish for summer.

Meh. As long as I can lounge by the pool... or in the pool... with cold beer, I'm good.

Sorry guys - up here in yankeeland we're excited to be done with the polar vortex.

Of course in Chicago there's a direct correlation between temperature and overnight shootings. In fact I have an office pool where we set an over/under for weekend gun related homicides and the first thing anybody checks is the forecast.

You're in Atlanta. It's miserable but not the special kind of misery a gulf coast summer is. Plus some of us are productive citizens and can't sit by the pool all day.

Perpetual twilight, 70 degree days. Yep, I'm ready.

No, but those five days still mean the misery of summer without the joy of cold beer and lukewarm water.

I'm on the Gulf Coast often in the summer. Just on the panhandle. There's always a breeze. It's not nearly as bad as it inland.

I'm a productive citizen too. I've never been on the welfares.

The difference between Mobile and Baton Rouge is amazing. It was plenty humid in Mobile, but being close enough to the water gave a breeze. It's just stagnant here. Hanging like an invisible cloud of energy sapping unhappiness.

You must not of stuck it out to the choreography towards the second half when the brother and sister do a sweet twirl on the putt putt course or when the brother and dad ride towards the camera together on their hogs.

I exited the page when the fat girl in the swimsuit started walking toward the camera.

Summer in central Texas is a brutal bitch. But it does mean I can finally wear my straw Stetson.
