Yes Mizzou, you're included in this. Makes no fricking sense.

LINK

What takes the cake is this line

quote:

And in 2007, Tubby Smith started the trend by leaving blueblood Kentucky for mediocre Minnesota.

Not only is Forde a dumbass, but he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.

Arkansas was the first major southern school to employ a black coach in the big2. IIRC.

We have had 3 different black HCs in basketball.

The lack of black HC in football isn't a unique thing to southern schools only.

BTW:

Sounds like the B1G and ACC have bigger issues than the SEC in this matter:

Half of the 14-team league's coaches were African-American in 2013-14. Today that number is four. That's still a high number compared to the Big Ten (one, Eddie Jordan of Rutgers) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (two, Leonard Hamilton of Florida State and Danny Manning of Wake Forest), but that's significant attrition in a single spring.

Rutgers hasn't played a B1G game yet.

Would be interesting to see the numbers of black HCs for football for each B1G school, bet none of the traditional powers in that conference has had one.

He mentions that in the article but goes right back to bashing the SEC saying it doesn't excuse the disturbing trent he has seen the last several years.

He still needs to do the research to prove that black HCs have a shorter leash or having higher standards to be met for job retention than white HCs, this would have to be done on a case by case basis.

Basically, Forde does a great job in twisting stats and creating fallacies for his articles.

Its just click bait.

Race baiting sells the ads and gets the natives all wound up.

Its sad but it happens all the time.

As soon as I saw the article pop up I immediately knew who it was that wrote it. That's all Pat Forde does. I would love to see someone call him a racist in front of a bunch of people. I bet he'd shite his pants and say something like "NO! I have a bunch of black friends!"

Yeah Trent Johnson just decided to leave LSU, just like I decided to leave my job after I punched my boss in the face.

Exactly how it was with Tubby at UK. Forde spinning it like Minnesota stole him from UK is absolutely hilarious.

I didn't realize Barbee was black until this article, but then I just recently heard Pearl is a Jew.

I tend to not judge people on this stuff.

So when a Forde article comes out bashing UT, he's totally right, but when he calls out the whole SEC, he's wrong?

In D.B. Cooper fashion, Ole Miss got away with that heist...
