Give me a break. From '89 to '01, Tennessee football had:
1 National Championship
4 SEC Championships
13 Bowl Appearances
8 Top Ten Finishes
7 10-Win Seasons
We just didn't have the fortune during our 1 loss seasons that Alabama had during theirs (rematch vs LSU, tOSU bowl ban)

And don't forget Bama's usually generous schedules. LSU would've had the same success with similar scheduling.
