While no immediate threat has been substantiated, police presence has and will be increased in and around the campus of Auburn University.
This is a good reminder to always be vigilant about reporting security concerns and to make sure you are signed up to receive emergency notifications via AU ALERT (link on the Campus Life tab in AU Access). Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to immediately report suspicious activity to the Auburn Police Division at 334-501-3100 or by calling 911.

Also heard there's an AU Alert about to go out canceling classes. I don't know how true that rumor is though.
Eagle Eye TV just said they are working on an AU Alert.

I work on campus as a GA and my buddy who also is a GA says this is legit. Student affairs officials are working with police on a game plan right now.

There's no doubt it's a legit threat. I saw 3 APD officers walking through the student center looking for suspicious activity

I don't think you are allowed to carry on campus even if you have a license. They will probably be searching people tomorrow so not exactly a great idea to carry tomorrow.

You aren't allowed to, but that doesn't change the fact that people will do it
