Is USC not SEC enough when it comes to arrests?

I know a lot of us are relieved to see how infrequent our players get into trouble or how trivial their infractions are whenever they occur (like Na'Ty's minor in possession ticket or Byron's arrest for jaywalking.)

Sometimes it's celebrated on the SECrant when players beat up girls and it's swept under the rug, or steals money from the school and it's analyzed for months to see if people forget and hopefully don't recall.

Even Vandy had a rape allegation that led to 4 players suspended/dismissed in the past year. Is SC becoming the goody two shoes of the conference? Are we in jeopardy of losing out street cred with the tPOS's out there in the SEC?

The only cred that matters is on the field.

I'm more than ok if others schools want to tout their plethora of arrests.

More power to them

USC fans are familiar with the situation.

All the cred you need is from kicking their arse on the field.

Be proud about it winning the Fulmer's cup is not as prestigious as it sounds.

I have noticed this, especially in the last few years. Honestly the Whitney thing wasn't even that bad and we punished ourselves even more than what was required.

The other side of the coin is that we don't get a ton of headlines either. Clowney might, but on the whole, whenever I look at, say, the SEC Blog on ESPN, there are a lot of times when we are left out of the lunch links or some other post.

They say there's no such thing as bad press, but I reckon I would rather have us not in the press at all than in the press for some of the shite these players at other schools pull. Spurrier runs a tight frickin ship.

Spurrier doesn't get enough credit for running a fairly clean program. People think he's a jerk and extrapolate that b/c he enjoys taking shots at others, he's probably willing to relax his disciplinary standards to protect the perch from which he can take those shots. But--after Garcia--he's surprised me in that regard.

It would appear that Clemson is now more SEC than us in this regard.

I think the reason is: They taint a whole lot to do over there... It's hard to get arrested for throwing green pine cones at one another.

Seriously don't most of your players get arrested for speeding trying to get the hell out of dodge?
