So you were the 20 year old idiot who hung around the HS football program too long, the coach felt bad and gave you a "job" (unpaid) and told the kids to call you "coach"
We had guys like that too.

Did y'all win the pee-wee championship?

I coached a 12 year old flag team, and we won the ship back in HS... but then again I don't think that makes the cut

I've coached every position at the high school level. No way in hell would I ever want or need to be a head coach though.

Never coached, nor played at any level above the backyard.
However, I once had a face-to-face interview with an SEC HC for a recruiting coordinator position (back when they didn't have to have on-field responsibilities).
I didn't stand a chance in Hell of getting the job, but it was fun to actually get that far in the process. Somewhere in my files I've still got the rejection letter.

I volunteer to help out with the DL at the local high school. Just a couple of hours a week.

I was a one year, volunteer OC for a 6-8 year old Peewee football team.
We had average talent, but I have a brilliant offensive mind that kept us competitive with the upper-echelon teams in our league.
So to answer your question, no, I haven't really coached football.
