In 2004, after I got back from Iraq and took some leave to visit friends in College Station, I had a CSPD officer try to confiscate my military ID when I showed it to him (he didn't believe I was 26). I told him if he tried, I'd call the Ft. Hood MPs, followed by the FBI. Another patron said something to the effect of "look at his Aggie Ring, dumbass, it says '00".
Nothing happened, but CSPD have to fill their quotas, which is why they arrest football players for not having their vaccinations up to date on their dog (2002) and other stupid shite.

This isn't Austin, where they have lawyers on retainer for $1 apiece. The actual municipal leadership of College Station and the police department HATE the university, which is ironic because they wouldn't exist as a city without it.
