The Washington Post had an interesting piece (blog-post FWIW) looking at age and "happiness" by nation.

At what age were you the happiest?

Has your life so far fit the graph?

lol at Russia.

Honestly, the summer I was 12 was probably the happiest I've been but it's pretty close right now. Take away the adult responsibilities I have now and it'd be equal.

19-21 when I was in college. My most stressful moment was figuring where I was going to get drunk that night

Mine does not fit the US graph as I was happier in college than HS age

27 the day I married my sweet wife. We are still very happy but will be even more so once our late 20's kids become truly independent.

Not sure I wanna live to 95 unless the quality of life in the next 70 years is greatly increased.

No, the line goes up well before the age of 95, so as long as you don't die in your early 50's, you'll die the happiest you've been.

I bet this curve doesn't account for nursing homes

Agreed. I've never seen a sane, happy person in a nursing home.

The US graph matches my life. I'm happier now than ever before. I'm sure I'll stay that way unless I decide to move to Russia.
