Thinking lately it may be worth it to go in just for a routine check up or blood work? How often does the average OTer go get checked out?

Went a few months ago. Before that, it had been long enough they had archived my file.

I'm probably going to get the jelly finger this year. I'm at that age, I should be getting it done once a yr now.

I dread it. Never had it done before in my 43 yrs. I'm a bit apprehensive about it.

I got streph throat back in 2002. Had to go to the doc to get some antibiotics.

Thinking of going again for some sort of checkup thing or something later this year myself actually.

Other than getting poison ivy in my eyes and having a really bad reaction and having to go to the ER and get steroid shots, and some stitches and a shoulder and elbow dislocation I've not been to the doctor for sickness or meds since I was 10 or 11 years old and I'm in my mid 30's.

I'm sure there's all sorts of shite fricked up with me, but now that I have health insurance maybe I'll actually get some things fixed.

I go somewhat regularly, but then my doctor is a family member.

I'm 51 and skipped annual checkups from about 20 years old to 40 years old. I've now gone every year for the last 11 years and got my colonoscopy last year. Everybody tends to skip when your younger but it only take about an hour and the worst part is 15 seconds for the prostate exam. I'm on high blood pressure and cholesterol meds. now so no more skipping for me since they won't renew my prescriptions for more than 12 months at a time.

I have no fear of nor disdain for doctors. I get regular check-ups and heed any advice given. If I don't maintain my health, no one's going to do it for me.

Parroting my parents there, I am.

Go at least once a year for annual checkup. Might as well since my coverage pays 100%.

I went a couple years back after all those commercials about consulting a doctor if your erection lasts more than four hours.

I told him I wanted that.

I have to go for blood work for my Test shots every 6 months. My PSA has always been super low, but for some reason the doc wants to stick his finger in my arse anyway. I tell him no thanks. I'm not doing it unless the PSA test indicates that it's necessary.

I get blood work done annually. Its worth it if it helps me catch cancer or a disease before its too late.

Ah dont' be a wus. It's for your own good. I remember when I hadn't gone in a long while and the Doc looked at my chart and went damn looks like I have to go through a prostrate check. I said you mean I have to go through a prostrate check and he said no I said it right.

Went back in high school. Kids are now in high school. Unless some schmuck doctor who signed my physicals in college counts even though I never saw him.
