I just spoke to customer service at Directv and was informed that Directv will NOT carry the SEC Network. Has anyone any information to the contrary before I switch to Dish? Thanks

It's an ongoing negotiation.

You just spoke to someone who makes $12/hr.

Any press release would come out about the SEC Network before CS knew.

I'd wait awhile before I'd go switching anything. Right now they're going to tell you they're not going to carry it if they haven't finished negotiating. You'll have a bunch of companies that will give in right before football season begins.

Just wait and schedule your DISH appointment for the Wednesday before the USC/A&M game.

I don't think a customer service/call center employee is the person who would release that large nugget of info.

I don't doubt that you may have been told that; but I don't believe the person who said it.

Prayers sent to the trees surrounding DirecTV's HQ.

Just be patient. I'm sure a Bama fan will stinger a satellite out of the sky before it gets to that.

Hell no, they will need some kind of adapter or some stupid tech thingy and have to come back a week later.

I'm switching to Dish because of this. DirecTV did this same thing with the PAC 12 network and they still don't carry it.

She did tell me that I could watch the Big 10. What I told her was not polite.

A buddy of mine called the other day and asked them the same. They said that they were not sure what was going to happen with that right now. He then told them he would drop them if they did not and they said the demand wasn't that high for it nationwide and it would not hurt their national footprint that much.
