Big6 Members Only: Petition to Suspend Tennessee

I've had enough of their poorly managed athletic department. They continue to skate on past performance and contributions. Yes they made it to the Sweet 16 but are now about to lose their coach thrusting their program into instability. Add to the fact they haven't been relevant in football in nearly a decade and I say enough is enough
I think their Big6 status should be suspended until they provide tangible evidence that they can sustain an athletic department that is at least better than South Carolina and Mizzou
*I also would like to add a ban playing Rocky Top as a condition of this suspension. Or at the least it should fall under the Cow Bell regulation

You cannot suspend one of the Big6 without suggesting which of the Little8 will be the replacement.
So - who replaces Tennessee in the Big6 should they get the boot?

Motion to table the petition until after coaching change occurs. UT could act like a Big 6 and tell Marq to frick off with a big pay day.

They are about to lose a Sweet 16 BBall coach to a midmajor, they fire their most successful football coach, they fire their most successful basketball coach, they hire guys like Dooley and Kiffen and they lose money consistently.

Nay to your petition.
First, the Big 6 is really about football, always has been always will be.
Second, UT football, as bad as it has sucked recently, is STILL number 2 in SEC championships and wins I think.
SC and Missouri (your two comparators) haven't even won one SEC championship, which should be a bare minimum prerequisite for consideration.

As a charter member, I feel they deserve the chance to recover. Hopefully, they would use their time off during the suspension to reflect on their mistakes and work to get their house in order. Should this not happen we could evaluate replacements following their discharge hearing

UGA needs to be suspended before UT. They went 35 years without a title. Even Georgia Tech had a championship more recently than UGA.

Pearl buyout is 5 million and I don't think he would stoop so low as to leave Auburn before coaching a single game. I also wish vol fans would stop with the unrealistic expectation. You're not getting Pearl just like you weren't getting Gruden. It's embarrassing and beneath a Big6 team
