Who uses more than salt and pepper?

All that you need for a legit good steak is salt and pepper. If you have a shitty steak, using more might help, but a legit quality steak only requires salt and pepper.

I use more.. Only because most actual chefs and culinary school graduates do. I also use more because Catfan is wrong..

I season mine the way I do because I like the way it tastes but I get what you're saying.
I'm a salt and pepper guy. Just wondered what you guys/gals do.

Way too much salt IMO.

McCormicks steak seasoning spices
Or the McCormick montreal steak liquid.
Letting them marinate in that overnight with a little olive oil = amazing steaks.
You're welcome

I like some salt and pepper and olive oil. Cook the steaks on the highest heat possible.

Sprinkle with Lawry's, slap it on the grill, two minutes each side, slightly charred outside and a cold, raw inside. Perfection.

Lawry's
GTFO. Seriously.
Salt, pepper, a little garlic, thyme.

I do a version of this.
I marinate ribeye's 1-1/2" thick cut into soy sauce and montreal seasoning. It is excellent. I marinate for about 4-6 hours.

Yeah their premade liquid steak marinade is absolutely amazing.
It gives it just that hint of sweetness and really is better than what you'll get at most restaurants.

I dont use salt cause I like a little Tony's on mine and it already has plenty of salt in it.
And this salt and pepper only talk is bullshite... Maybe if I was buying my cut of meat off of a frickin hook in Kobe, Japan but I'm gettin mines's at Kroger or Charlie's Meat Market.
