Juuuuuuuuuulio

Gonna have to lean on him and Wood for the first couple weeks. Also, heres hoping Upton and Uggla start out somewhat hot to get their psyche in a decent spot.

Bold Predictions for the season.
-Julio goes 18-7 2.45 ERA. Finishes 5th in Cy young
-Freeman goes for .330 BA, 29 HR, 122 RBI. 2nd in MVP
-Braves miss the 2nd WC spot by a game

Also I'm hoping this year we see-

1. Uggla finally producing

2. BJ not blowing

3. The pitching staff exceeding most expectations

If all of this happens we could once again stay atop the NL east... Suck it nats

imo, this is a Georgia Bulldogs board. If the braves a big game or a player has a big moment, or a dark moment, a topic can be created, and if people give a shite, the topic will have a future.

We don't need a Braves sticky topic.

I hope the Braves can pull it off this year. It has been a long time coming.

But, I hardly ever watch regular season games. There are just too many.

IMO you could cut down baseball games 1/3 and have better attendance, viewership, etc.

will never happen. Ever.

Baseball's stats are so hallowed and revered, and changing how many games you play would alter the future stats.

Plus, in what other sport can you watch your favorite team play 6 out of 7 days a week?

viewership

By cutting out 54 of the televised games? not sure I follow.

better attendance
Maybe. Attendance is not a problem. MLB had 74,026,895 people go to games last year. And 74,859,268 the year prior.

By cutting games down I personally would make special exceptions to either catch them on TV, or go to a game since I know there would be fewer opportunities to do so. As it is now, for me, I only start paying attention around the playoffs (or when playoffs start). But then again, I'm not a diehard baseball fan.

And as mentioned above, it's a game of stats these days. The schedule is likely to never change.

Anyway, Go Bravos
