UPDATE: Scariest experience of your life

I just had my scariest experience in life last night. So it was around 2am after watching walking dead and drinking a couple of drinks. I had been walking around barefoot in the fraternity house and my feet were filthy after taking a shower. So I decided to go and turn the shower on and wash my feet before I went to bed (I have a weird habit about not being able to sleep unless my feet are clean). I turn on the shower head and the water shoots out into the bathroom, so I turn the water down and step into the shower. Well, I as I'm stepping in, I bump the door and felt a sharp pain in my arse. I thought a piece of fiberglass cut me or something. I look down and a wasp in on the floor. I am highly allergic to wasp. I realized I left my EpiPen in Baton Rouge over Spring Break. I ran to my room to think about what to do. Around 30 minutes, I started to become dizzy. My phone is broken and I didn't know where the Starkville Hospital was. I decided to ride it out with ice and deep breathing. I started to feel my throat kind of swell up. It wasn't swelling to much, but I was worried. So I was laying in my bed kind of dizzy, confused and tired. Next thing I remember was waking up this morning. Needless to say, I'm glad to be alive

was it scary because you learned something about yourself?

Why didn't you go to the hospital? Were you drunk?

Nearly flipping a tractor coming down a steep logging road at our hunting camp. Never put the clutch in on a tractor while going down a steep hill.

Nah, I had a few drinks but could still drive, I didn't want to risk it anyway. I have gone through this before without my epipen, I thought I could get through it like before. I guess this time it was a delayed reaction.

Pushed my sister, she slipped and hit her head on the side of the pool knocking her out and went into the water. Thought I had killed her.

I don't know why I laughed, but I did . That is scary though.

I would have been more rational about it now realizing I had probably just knocked her out. But when I did it I definitely freaked out and thought I had killed her.

I rode my bike off a 15 foot cliff when I was 8 and broke 3 bones

That is serious, I would have freaked out as well. I guess the way you wrote it made me laugh.

One time I went to enchanted rock at about noon, thinking I'd leave no later than 5:00 after hiking around. It started with me getting stung by three bees on my ankle after a bird ate one out of a tree next to me while I was going up. At the top, I accidentally dropped my string bag with three water bottles, ripping a huge hole in the bag and poking a hole in one of the bottles. Then I went the route I used to go on when I was a kid, around the back of the mountain, up turkey hill, then back to the car. Only I accidentally mistook a dried up creek bed for the path. I continue for about an hour and notice it's almost 2:30. Then I realize that the mountain is about 3 miles in the distance and I've gone off course. So I trace my steps back through the creek and by the time I got to the creeks beginning, it's 4:30. Keep in mind I've been walking for four hours with three beestings. Determined to still go up turkey hill, I stumble along the normal path in the shade of enchanted rock rather than go back. By the time I get to turkey hill, it's 5:15. As I climb the hill, I accidentally slip and grab hold of a rock to steady myself. However, on the rock was a cactus with my hand on it. Even though I was in great pain, I pulled out the visible needles then continued back up the mountain. I got to the to at about 5:40ish. After gazing until six, I head back down. I thought I came down the same way so I headed in the direction if the parking lot. But I actually went down on the opposite side, and was heading back to the backside of enchanted rock. I realized that I was lost at about 7:15, when it was already very dark. I was extremely frightened that I wouldn't be able to leave until the next morning when I saw a group of people in the distance. I followed them out into the parking lot and was luckily reunited with my car.
I know this wasn't really life threatening, but at the time it was damn scary

Yeah I've been caught out on a hiking trip as the sun was setting and it can be pretty frightening. I was never lost though at that time, so I can only image the additional fear. I've gotten lost in broad daylight, but never around dark.

Ya, I've gotten lost plenty of times, but that was the only time that I got lost at dark.
