I was looking at the Mizzou board and someone there did this on Haith's tenure at Mizzou. So, naturally, I stole the idea and had a look at what has happened since Anderson has been here.

No real surprises, we all know his teams have gotten better. Sorry, I didn't do graphs, on my phone.

Improvement every year is what you want to see with a rebuild, and we're getting that. I expect us to be much better next year, and I predict we won't be on the bubble come conference tournament time. We will be safely in and the SEC tourney will only affect seeding.

I'm surprised at the turnovers considering we don't have a true PG.

Which is why you have to give Anderson time. His system is harder to implement in the short term than most other systems as well. Y'all are heading in the right direction. I think if you even break it down smaller than that and look at that stretch of games y'all played late in the season, I'd say Arky improved even within this year.

Nice to know every team that doesn't win the national championship has to think this

The offense Anderson runs does not require a "true PG", yes, a "true PG" can allow you to do other things that can't be done now and would make the offense run better/smoother, but it is more of a necessity to have 2-3 guards on the court at all times who can handle the "point guard duties".

In terms of this year, a Scotty Wilbiken would be nice, it would have made the entire team better, but Madden, Gulley, Haydar, Wade, and even Scott are serviceable for the guard positions in the offense.

I can see Bert's tenure here having the same results.

Good stuff. The only things that were worse from his first year was opponent ppg and 3 point %, but 3 point % was markedly better than last year. Plus, Mardracus Wade shooting lights out 2 years ago also played into that. Great to see improvements. Hell, you could probably do the same thing for the first and second half of this season and see improvements.

Opponent PPG has gone up, but FG% has gone down.

The PPG can be a result of many factors, most likely opponent FT points per game, another indicator would be that the tempo is being increased.

Increased tempo means an increase in possessions per game which should equate to higher PPG for Arkansas and as a result the opponent.

The bigger stat that would stand out to me would be the scoring differential:

3 +9.4
2 +4.9
1 +2.1

Assist/Turnover Ratio is also a good one since in a faster pace of play turnovers will increase.

We led the SEC by a pretty hefty margin in Assist/Turnover ratio which is impressive given the lack of a true point guard.

I do believe we are getting closer to be a force to be reckoned with concerning all teams soon.

Patience is the key though.

one thing overlooked here, Not much trouble off the court, Grades improving, I look at this as much as many other things to see a program on the incline..

That's what I was referring too when talking about the versatility of the guards.

Anderson's system/philosophy is based on guard play. A true point guard won't be the reason for an improvement in this area as much as an improvement of guards on the roster.

He is bringing in 2 true PGs and a good combo guard for next year's team.
