Curious how much spread from their HS times and times posted during their college career there is here. Obviously they're all solid players and have studded out the last couple years, thought it was odd that these were all highly rated recruits and their 40 times were all towards the back of the pack.
Jeremy Hill 4.66
Alfred Blue 4.63
J.C. Copeland 4.95
Zach Mettenberger Too slow/scared to run
Props to Odell Beckham for his 4.43 and Trai Turner for his 4.93
Jeremy Hill 4.66

J.C. Copeland 4.95

I know this is a troll but the only surprising time there is Hill's 4.66 because he ran away from just about every SEC defense he faced at some point in time. He does have a nice top gear.

Let's just wait and compare how many of our players get drafted vs. yours.

Jarvis ran a 4.77, ouch. But Hill isn't known for his acceleration and Blue isn't too fast either.

Jarvis has never been a burner. You won't won't find a better combination of hands and route running in any WR in the draft though. Just ask SEC DC's.

What did you expect from a 270 pound fullback?

Henry Josey benched as many reps as Hill, and still ran 4.40

I thnk he'll be fine in the NFL but it certainly doesn't help his draft stock at all.

Did you see the RB from Georgia Southern. He led the RB's in bench press and ran like a 4.38

Yup, Dri Archer's turned heads too. 4.26 and 20 reps and he's done well in the cone drills too.

There once was an NFL WR that ran a 4.66 40.
His name was Jerry Rice. Landry's tape speaks volumes. He's a human highlight reel when it comes to eye popping catches that just make you say "HOW did he do that?"

Trust me I've seen a couple of those against the Hogs. Like I said in the OP obviously these guys are all great players that have a nice future, found it odd that their times were all basically slow.
