Which is more retarded, division pride or Big 6 pride?

Both are latching onto coattails of other teams. Why not just be happy with your own team's accomplishments? Tennessee for example. They have had a horrible program lately, but they have a rich history. Shouldn't that be enough?

Fly your own banners, Big 6 and SEC West. Leave the dickriding to the teams that haven't ever won anything. Yes, including South Carolina.

State pride in the context of college football is probably the worst.

But for op choices, I'd say big six pride is worse.

Not really. I just don't understand why teams with a good/great history would lump themselves in with other programs instead of just being happy with their own achievements.

South Carolina has been bad a LONG time, I think I'm pretty seasoned in us being "not in the finer things" club.

Sure.

I'm proud my school is a charter Big Six member.

I think latching onto tiger pride in this conference is rather telling ... in a sociopathic sort of way.

I knew I'd get the "you mad" responses. That's a given.

That may be true for some, but you know damn well there are a lot of fans out there that really buy into that stuff.

Only to the extent it gets a rise out of the non Big Six crowd.

And the SEC lEast crowd is a tad sensitive.

ETA: Too honest?

I never hear it discussed that heavily irl, but maybe it is by some. I always figured it was more of a message board talking point than anything.

You mean Georgia, Missouri, the 5-8 SC fans, 3 Kentucky fans, 2 Florida fans...do you get the point I'm portraying here?

Is the Interwebz less available in Florida than say Arkansas?

Sorry fan interest is lacking in the East.
