@ESPNRobertSmith: Tennessee has 2 more top 300 defensive recruit commitments this year ( 8 ) than they've signed in last 6 seasons combined!
Also, Butch's 2014 class has 1 more ESPN 300 recruit (11) than Dooley signed during his entire tenure(Offense and Defense). That's counting the 2009 class that was put together by Kiffin.

Butch has done an amazing job recruiting.

This year's class is something special for UT. Hope CBJ can put all the pieces together as soon as possible!! I'm tired of seeing Georgia/South Carolina/Missouri win the East!

To be fair, They signed 3 full classes.

Currently, the Vols have 33 prospects in the class of 2014, the same number that UGA signed in 2013.
I think we'll take one more, DT - Michael Sawyers, and potentially greyshirt one or two guys.

Twas a joke. Not to be taken seriously. We had way to much attrition. Just go look at our 2010 class if you want to see why we took 33 last year. A string of horrible luck with injuries and missing on guys put us way under on schollys.

First step in the right direction. I will remind you as I have OM fans that you cannot look at your football team in a vacuum. You are not recruiting appreciably better than many other SEC programs so there are a lot of other things that the Butch will have to handle to take you to the promised land.

It's great for UT; hopefully in 2 years they are fringe top 25 so kids want to start playing there again. I like the historically strong programs to be good because I think those are the fans/families/states that really care about the sport and support it
