He's in critical condition at EAMC. It's been awhile since something like this has happened.. Tragic.

Can't imagine anything worse than trying to kill yourself and fricking it up. That's the worst.

We had a guy land near our boat on the Alabama River in Montgomery one day. Sombitch jumped off the I65 bridge. Believe it or not, he lived.

Might end up as a blessing.. at least I hope he learns from it and makes something out of himself.

That's a pretty long fall.

That's a tall parking deck especially from where he landed.. 40-50 foot fall I'd guess.

A freshman girl at U Penn in Philly did this last Friday. Sadly enough, she succeeded.

The absolute worst, at that. Hands down.

I believe he may have just passed away. I think I know who it is and if so, he was extremely well liked and truly amazing guy. Have yet to meet a guy or girl who doesn't like him and I looked up to him. Some people just suffer from things we have no idea about

He was one of those people who would ask how your doing and legitimately want to know. He comes from a big Auburn family so keep them in your prayers.

I had a buddy in high school that was "heartbroken" over his girlfriend breaking up with him, left at halftime of a football game, shot himself in the head with a .22. He survived, but his left side is pretty much paralysed and can barely talk coherently.

Gotta be honest, it's crossed my mind a few times during bad events in my life. I sure as hell am glad I didn't, because looking back now I almost laugh at how distraught I was over petty shite. Hopefully this guy pulls through with mental and limb function in tact and get the help he needs.

ETA: I just read that he passed. Terrible. I'm very Libertarian politically, but if there is one health issue that needs to be publicly funded, it is mental health. The vast majority of health and criminal issues stem from abnormal mental functions and thought processes. There is still a stigma, especially for guys, to seek help.

I didn't know him, but as someone else said he was apparently well liked. It's awful that he couldn't pull through and maybe work through his illness.
