Mike James the secondary coach at Slippery Rock has NFL experience. Probably him.

You're basing that on one hire he's made who has coached in the NFL. He's not going to hire someone one year removed from Fayetteville High.

I've seen this same type of setup on so many different message boards. Why do people think Shannon would give up coaching LBers just because he is the DC? Most teams the DC also coaches a position.

Mainly because Akina has been coaching the whole secondary. That would leave Taver out of a job and us short one coach.

As far as I can tell Bielema has always split his DBs....plus when you have Stone Cold as your DL coach you aren't going to split the ends and tackles

Taver could be CBs only and the other coaches safeties. Don't have to give the secondary all to one guy.
