dd4bama was from the OLD scout message board before they moved. I remember when I first got into recruiting (Shula era) he was on there

My first message board experience was TideSports, and I always bit on his trolling attempts.

I used to use my own name back then haha I had NO idea how unsafe sports message boards were. Thankfully I learned there before coming here.

I was a member of tide sports back in the day. I remember dd for Bama. Problem with that board was that you couldn't say anything that wasn't pumping sunshine or they got upset. I found this board ad a result of tide sports

I did Tidefans when it was just a email mailing list. Was nuts downloading 200-400 email a day on slow dial-up. But was new and exciting back then.

Man I was really into TideSports as well. I just remember dd4bama predicting that Alabama would lose every game. I hated it so much that I would post long, rambling rebuttals... 
I also remember some dude named "smith" something that was like a superstar on there, and everything he would post was huge, but I honestly don't remember if he ever even mentioned anything about Alabama sports, just random stuff.
