How good is it to see Mark Ingram have a helluva game last night in the playoffs? He showed speed, power, and vision while leading the team with 18 carries for 97 yards and a TD with 5.4 ypc.

I enjoyed his performance and if he keeps it up I would love if my Saints would sign him to an extension after his rookie contract is over.

Do y'all think he has hit his stride in the NFL?

Last night was the first time I've ever gotten loud cheering for someone from bama . I hope he keeps it up.

Schwaaz, nc14, and BucWildBammer are homering Mark Ingram and T Rich suck, on the other hand Eddie Lacy is a BEAST in the NFL.

He always had vision, it is apparent even from his Jr year on at Bama his knee made him more timid and less aggressive (trait that helped him win his Heisman) and you are finally starting to see it come back

I don't even think he wasn't completely healthy but the mental aspect finally has clicked again, he has full range of his knee without the pain he had

So seeing a guy run for the most rushing yds a RB had in either game isn't beasting?

I believe it is

It was good to see him finally get it going, but one game doesn't get him out of the bust category. He needs to string together a couple of years worth.

As much as I love seeing MI finally doing well with the Saints I hope he goes somewhere else after his contract is over. I hate the way the Saints use him. They won't leave him in long enough to get any rhythm going.

Ingram always reminded me of Emmitt Smith. Almost identical size, speed and vision. They won't create plays but are very good backs behind solid lines that read initial blocks and avoid the first hit to get some yards every carry.

Plus it was on the road in 15 degree weather in a playoff game vs a good defense. Running for right at 100 yards with 5.4 ypc with no fumbles in that weather on a pass first team is all you can ask for out of a back.

As I said in the op I would love for him to stay in N.O. after his rookie contract but I have a feeling he is going to end up somewhere else when it comes time for him to sign a new deal. I can see him going somewhere like Chicago, Dallas, or Minnesota where they like to run the ball
