6)Cyrus Kouandjio OT 2 Alabama Jr
8)Mike Evans WR 2 Texas A&M rSo
11) Greg Robinson OT 4 Auburn rSo
13) C.J. Mosley ILB 1 Alabama Sr
17) Johnny Manziel QB 3 Texas A&M rSo
Round 1-2
28) Hasean Clinton-Dix Injured FS 1 Alabama
32) Travis Swanson C 1 Arkansas rSr
34) Odell Beckham Jr. WR LSU Jr

55) La'el Collins OT 8 LSU Jr

IMHO, AJ is under-rated and and overated Cyrus K. (Lawson abused him). If this holds up, Tre is gone....

and he probably will and all Auburn fans will thank him and wish him luck in the pros. The kid is a great back with a great attitude and heart for the game and will be a good get for someone if he is in the second round.

Tre Mason will be an excellent pro. Low 1st high 2nd rd if he goes. Top of the heisman watch if he returns. IMO, money better than trophies.

Looking at their mock draft and I have a question, why do NFL teams waste early picks on mediocre quarterbacks year in and year out?

Bridgewater has talent and size and is probably worth the pick in the top five but why use a top 5 pick on someone like Bortles from UCF or Derek Carr from Fresno? Those guys play no one for 3 or 4 years and have talent but why would you use a top 10 pick on these guys when you have legit franchise left tackles on the board or elite receiver talent in Watkins and Evans? I just don't get it.

You raise a fair point.

Every year this happens. You could have asked any Mizzou fan about Blaine Gabbert and we would have told you project, project, project. Kid has a big arm but happy feet in the pocket. Totally a 2nd rounder at best. Jax still wasted a high 1st rounder on him.

I realize there are mistakes anytime uncertainty is involved, but there have been many reaches that it makes you wonder who is actually scouting these guys. Maybe ownership is pushing these 1st round QB selections to drum up fan support.

Because an elite receiver without someone great throwing him the ball and franchise left tackle who is defending a guy who can't win games are pointless and just as much a crap shoot?

because you can't succeed without a real NFL quarterback and the teams without one are desperate to find one.

Sometimes it works out when you don't expect it to either. With the right organization and coaching to develop a QB you can sometimes see a QB develop who wasn't expected to be special. The biggest problem for bad organizations is really usually either impatient ownership or incompetent coaching/player development. Rather than face up to those issues the traditional approach is to replace the players in important positions
