Will Bama come out flat in their BCS bowl game?

I guess it'll depend on how competent of an opponent they'll face, but we know Bama only had one goal this year. Will they care enough to play hard?

I thought LSU was going to the national championship and auburn was going to the Sugar Bowl how does Alabama end up in a BCS bowl?

I'd love to see them vs a Baylor or Okie State. If Bama doesn't play their A game, either one of those teams will eat their lunch just like AU did.

Where is it written that they will be in a BCS bowl game? Only two teams get BCS bowls.

2012 Florida went 11-1 with a close, late loss to Georgia. Georgia lost the SEC Championship, and Florida got the Sugar Bowl nod.
Fast forward to 2013, could you not see a similar situation playing out with Alabama and Auburn? Alabama's current resume is greater than or equal to Missouri's. Missouri better win SEC Championship if they want a better bowl than Alabama.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Alabama doesn't make a BCS bowl. They'll get the nod over a 2-loss SEC championship game loser.

Bama could pull a Utah and quit or an MSU and blow the doors off whatever team is unlucky enough to be there. Who knows, neither would surprise me.

I think it depends on the Bowl and opponent.
If we play UCF or Northern Illinois in the Sugar Bowl it could be a Utah repeat.
If we play Clemson or Oregon in Miami it could be like the Capital One Bowl vs Michigan State.
Im really hoping we play Oregon in Miami and we go Capital One style beatdown on the Ducks.
