Comparing to the numbers from last week, in the Coaches poll we gained 123 points overall, and moved 99 points closer to Ohio State. Need to update when the Harris numbers come out.

A win over Bama may not require an OSU loss, just looking at the numbers. Will be very close if trends hold up.

This assumption takes on believing that the human polls would continue to lessen the margin between AU and Ohio State.. I can't believe that assumption to be true.

Really? I feel the opposite. You don't think a sizable bloc of voters would vote an Auburn team who has wins against #1 and #4 in consecutive weeks above them?

We didn't play this week, they won big, and we picked up 99. Assuming Harris is similar, OSU can be ahead in both polls and we still jump them in the end. It will be very close. It's all math at this point.

It's not going to happen. Don't forget about OSU victories at Michigan and against Mich. St.

Bottom line is AU needs to win out and OSU needs to lose to MSU. No other way for us to get in the BCSCG. They will not jump Auburn over two undefeated BCS teams. As much as we want to believe it, that will not happen.

I agree and it's possible that Michigan can beat them in their huge rivalry game.

I think you guys are taking a too simple view. There is no nebulous "they". Because of our big lead in the computers, it just has to be close with the humans.

It's not about wishes or hopes. Just math.

The math doesn't work out too well either.

I get that and you know what I meant. We won't jump an undefeated tOSU and you can do all the math you want.

There is an outside shot that voters could help us jump OSU. The computers love us and would go apeshit if we beat Bama and Mizzou/USCe.

What I think will be interesting is that almost no one woudl rank a one loss Auburn team after the SECCG lower than #3 but I do believe that there will be people who put a one loss Alabama team ahead of Ohio State.

Same thing will happen with the computer polls since Alabama has some quality wins and will be ahead of OSU in some polls as well I believe

Yes I am, I truthfully believe there is a chance. IF we were to beat Bama by 7 or so and win the SECCG.

Ohio State will have played 2 teams in top 25. Wisconsin & Mich St.

Auburn will have played 6 to 7 by the time the season is over.

No offense but the math won't work. We needed Oregon to win out to push tOSU to #4 in the computers. Without that buffer from Oregon it's nearly impossible for us to pass tOSU overall given they will be 2 and us 3 in the human polls.
