This REALLY ticks me off re: Pat Dye

The "Greatest coach in AU history" was talking at the Knoxville QB Club yesterday, and had this to say about last season:
And some people act like he's a god.
That had me mad enough, but then this just showed up on my Twitter feed.
I don't even have words.
quote:
@philkapla: One last item on Pat Dye's long, winding talk at QB Club. He said both Auburn quarterbacks from last season were cowards. He gave no names.
And some people act like he's a god.
That had me mad enough, but then this just showed up on my Twitter feed.
quote:
@kiehlfrazier25: Pretty sure Pat Dye was talking about Clint and I, not Jonathan. Jonathan did the best he could in a bad situation.
I don't even have words.

I am someone who became a member of the Auburn family long after Coach Dye was fired. I have never felt any sort of real reverence to him. I know the history and what he did for my school but he needs to take a Bobby Bowden approach and that is to go off and enjoy retirement and let Auburn be Auburn. He doesn't need to be on the radio or employed by the school anymore.
I doubt Coach Tubs will ever get this level of love and admiration that Coach Dye gets, but he would deserve it.

He's been making it harder and harder to like him over the years, and this is about as bad as it gets. Come on Pat.

Yeah. This is bullshite. Why would a coach throw kids under the bus like that?

Yeah cause everybody knows that the QB was the only problem AU had last season...
Our QB's could have been serviceable last season had our coaching staff not created a complete cluster-...Crap...REMEMBER CHRIS TODD!
Very irritating.

Id love for KF to see Dye at a function and ask for clarification to his face.

What a POS. GTFO and Dye you washed up mother fricker

Nothing he said wasn't anything differently said on message boards (including here) and other folks twitters. With that said Dye unfortunately is associated with our football program and should not be saying stuff like that. It pisses me off as well.

We've been pretty hard on KF on this forum. Almost as much as Holland.
That said, to have a former HC - who resigned in disgrace after leading the program to devastating NCAA sanctions - call out, in a public function, two kids WHO WEREN'T EVEN BORN WHEN HE LAST COACHED FOOTBALL is beyond reprehensible.
frick you, Patrick Fain Dye. I would support kicking him out of his office and taking his name off the fricking field. Immediately.

Seriously. How many people made fun of Clint for crying on here? It's just much easier to do it when you're able to say those things anonymously on the internet.
That said, Dye needs to apologize for that comment. And if he doesn't, then he needs to just stay the hell away from Auburn football.

Geriatric old frick is gonna make me actually feel bad for Clit Moseley.

This...Dye is held to a higher standard. Or should be.

Dye isn't an anonymous message board poster. His comments will, and did, get back to the people he was talking about. One of which is still playing for the team
Talk about just lacking any common sense

Not to mention as a former coach, he's supposed to know how to be more level headed when it comes to football than your average pissed off joe ranting and raving on a message board.

Before we crucify dye was anyone in attendance or does anyone have the entire quote?

LOL crucify Dye? This wouldn't be his first foot in mouth moment. Kiehl wouldn't have answered that in a tweet if he didn't feel confident Dye said it.
