I see Stinchcomb being a Aubie hating bitch again.

And who is this old frick talking about how great a man Freeze is and basically saying Gus isn't?

I believe he is the Arky St AD who hired both of them.

Yep Dr Dean Lee AD ASU and yes it was kind of a shitty comparison on his part. Although I will take a more focused and serious Saban type...

Well, frick his old arse. Black hat wins, though I think Gus is a class guy. Can't believe he said that and Gus wasn't popular in Auburn.

Yeah, that was like out of left field. I wanted to slap his fat arse when he offered that up. He sounds butt hurt over Gus.

Yep, just like Arky/Arky St.fans.

I really want to see Gus put a beat down on Bert's hawgs.

Me too. I want our D to blow up their offense and their D hunching over trying to catch their breath and flopping all over the field. With AU winning by 3+ TD's

Then at the end of the game I want Gus to sprint out to mid field smacking his gum like he could run a 10K. While BB is limping out with sweat dripping from his brow.

I saw that the ad was interviewed but never really could hear anything as I was at a party. Was that really what he said?

Clearly he's still mad that he thought he could keep Gus awhile b/c of his connections to the state of Arkansas. To add onto it, we not only hired him back but we hired him back and then beat his team's arse the following season (or 4 weeks ago).

And maybe he's right.. nice guys don't win in college football at this level. I don't want a nice guy I want a winner.

You can have both. Les Miles is a prime example. The man is a goober but he is a genuine person and wins games.

That's not what he said

He said that Gus was more like Saban. Which is what he was referring too when he said it won't be popular in Auburn.

He said Gus was Sabanesk. That everything is more structured and focused with him.

He basically just said that Freeze is building his program based on relationships and being a man of faith

Gus is building his program like Saban, razor sharp focus and execution. He basically said what we all think, Gus is methodical and is that "mad scientist" persona

He was referring to the fact that the comparison of Gus to Saban and how Gus is building this program like Saban wouldn't be too popular. Wasn't implying Gus is not or was not popular

As I mentioned in another thread I missed most of the 2nd half. I have not gone back and watched a replay yet. I noticed people were complaining on the rant about Gus' play calling during the game and "high school" came up in a few of those comments. Was this because there was not an AU pass after the end of the third quarter and the offense ended up short on some drives in the 4th?

Now that everyone has had time to step away, breath, enjoy the victory, and go back and watch, do you still think Gus was wrong in his play calling?

I thought the play calling, except for a couple of pretty conservative calls in the second half, was really good.

It would have looked much better if the QB hits a wide open Fulse or receivers didn't drop first down passes or RBs didn't fumble after 20 yard gains.

He didn't abandon the run game the way he did early against LSU and he didn't waste plays with wildcat bullshite.

One or two more play action passes late after we went to the ground game almost exclusively would have been nice, but that is a bit nit picky.

Not how it sounded to me, but as I originally said. I will take a more focused Sabanesque type coach over let's be friends like we had in Chizik and company. I think it will be a bigger hit than the AD from ASU thinks.

I just watched it 45 mins ago.

You need to re-watch. He was in no way saying Gus was not popular in auburn.
