What's worse, Tennessee's huge loss @ Oregon or...

The fact Florida has not played a non-conference game outside the state of Florida since 1991, that's 22 seasons and counting.
I know FSU and Miami are traditional non-conferenc rivals, but 22 years?? We're talking a quarter of a century without playing an out of state nonceference game.
At least Tennessee had the guts to go get their arse kicked in a different state.

It's a smart move by their AD. He knows that he would never be able to sell half of their ticket allotment for an OOC game out of state.

UF's OOC schedule is usually a joke.

They have 3 national titles in that time frame. Seems like thier scheduling is working just fine.

UF has three legitimate championships in that time frame, there is no loss for them at all

I hate Tennessee, but Florida is simply laughable.

When their opponents are FSU and Miami I really don't have a problem with it

You listen to too much Rick Neuheisel. UF plays Miami and FSU in state OOC. They don't have to travel across the country to have a good OOC schedule.
I think most LSU fans would rather we play ULM, ULL, La Tech, Tulane, etc...rather than Fordham, Towson St, etc...keep the money in state.

I don't think Tennessee's is all that surprising. Everybody is pinning Marcus Mariota as this god like performance against a BCS qualifying conference blah blah blah. Tennessee got destroyed by Vanderbilt last season on route to their 3rd sucky year in a row. Plus a new coach and scheme vs a Top 3 team in the country makes for a blowout. I guess these ill go with Florida.

You have to understand the theory behind all that is UF. They are spineless. P.S. They also wear jorts, mullets and can be seen regularly at flea markets all over north Florida.

I regretted clicking on this thread until I saw that you brought the lulz. The OP should be moved to second post and the thread topic completed to make room for the only reason this thread should exist.

South Carolina and Georgia both have decent non-conference in-state rivals, yet both have managed to make multiple OOC road games happen multiple times over that span.

Name one other program that has two programs with the stature of FSU and Miami outside their conference but in the same state.
No?
STFU.

FSU is the only consistent opponent on their schedule.
So you honestly are not surprised they haven't left their state for an OOC game in 20+ years?

Getting you arse kicked, FSU and MIami i are two quality opponents. Why doesn't traveling change that?

Which is why I wished Tulane would have never fallen off the face of the earth athletically wise. It's a damn shame, that rivalry got intense.
