After our win last night I was looking at the games slated for the same weekend as ours vs Bama, thinking maybe GD would be in T-Town but not a chance - they'll be in Athens no doubt.
And my God it will be a slugfest with some very interesting storylines, the big one obviously being an improved Mett going back into Athens to face his former team.
You"ll have the UGA ground game going up against a solid LSU front as well as Aaron Murray having the opportunity to perform well on a big stage against a top 10 opponent, something he has struggled with at times.
Should be a great game and who knows, it could be a preview of what we will see the first weekend in December.

Game of the year? No, my friend, this is gonna be The Game of the Century version 27.0
After that night idk who will drink more, the losing fan base or Chavis and Grantham

too early to hype games with a 1 loss team as GOTY.in november maybe, but not after 4 games

first time in Athens can't wait!

Calling it measuring the hedges. Huge measuring stick game we could both afford to lose and still control our destiny to get to atl.

Athens is fricking awesome, been several times and it is a great time. Stay away from APD though, they rival OPD in their douchebaggedness
@SammyTiger -
It's a matchup of top 10 teams and while one has a loss it was on the road to the #3 team in the nation. C'mon man.

It doesn't fit the criteria of a "Game of the Century" Both teams need to be undefeated.

Got my fingers crossed for a night game. I know this likely has CBS 3:30 written all over it, but I have a sliver of hope that they'll want bama/ole miss instead.
Plus, they have UT this weekend and will possibly take UGA/UT the following weekend (not a real good slate on the 5th). CBS might want to avoid having UGA 2 weeks in a row and UT 2 times in 3 weeks. That can be avoided if ESPN picks up the night game.
Hell does anyone know the last time we've played LSU at home at night? It wasn't in 09, 04, or 99. So any time before that I don't know.

I'd do horrible, unspeakable things if we could make Georgia/LSU a night game

I'd be worried for myself

This seems to happen time and time again since the turn of the century.

Chavis and Grantham both have their work cut out for them. The young'uns on both teams will be prodded into growing up quickly.

Other than giving 1 of the 2 a clear path (i.e. reducing chance of 3-way tie) to their respective divisions, this is what both sides will come away with.

toughest game of the year imo bc everyone knows we cant lose in BDS

Agreed. I guess it could be spun to mean more to uga since you have a loss already and that may change the nc hunt but at this point in the season the big 6 know whats going on, we're racing to Atlanta and if we both come out injury free then we are poised to control our destiny.
