Will the distraction bring the team together or tear it apart

Or will it make difference at all?

Sometimes a team needs something to rally around.

I personally think Bama is ready to play ball regardless of the outside clutter.

I'm looking forward to a good game. Once you're hit in the mouth the rest goes out the window.

SIAP

I think Bama will play pissed off. That entitlement attitude could very well be their downfall in this game.

Playing mad could more than likely lead to them overunning plays, making stupid penalties, cheap shots, holding calls, getting their butts beat.

The Bama I saw against VT isn't the Bama I'm used to seeing.

Not saying they'll lose but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Worked for Auburn but he was still on their team. Would be nice if they made it an us versus them ting even if it isn't necessarily accurate. I don't care as long as we win.

I thought they'd play possessed before the story and I think it'll be the same after it

I'd be shocked if it has any affect on the players whatsoever.

I don't see the current team being distracted by this at all

i don't think it will end up making much difference. Fans tend to overblow a lot of this kind of stuff. Once you go out there and hit/get hit in mouth a few times, outside stuff like this usually goes right out the window. AJ isn't going to be scanning the defense and all the sudden starting thinking about DJ Fluker.

I agree with Drac. I doubt this is weighing heavy on the players minds at all and a lot of them probably already knew about the situation anyway. If anything, I think a player would be more likely to under perform due to something way more personal on his mind that has nothing to do with football.

This will do nothing to this team. Unless current players are on the take.

I'm not concerned about the distraction as much as the extended break to fine tune after Va Tech. Will either work like a charm, or will have the team coming out a little complacent while the Aggies had a live tune up game last week.

It could be a distraction if the players start comparing what they are getting paid and the guys on the lower end of the pay scale get bruised egos.

Other than that, won't be a problem.

It won't impact the current players but it will consume mental energy from the head coach.

I think both teams are mad. A&M has been taking this stuff for a couple of months and now Bama is starting to get a taste.

Both teams will play with a chip on their shoulders but it won't cause either team skip a beat.

One other note: Please note the only SEC school interested is upset because no one is interested in their game this week. It is sweating BB's because that school will lose to Bama and A&M.

Maybe they can rally around the fact that they average 100 yards of offense per half, and are playing arguably the single worst defense in the SEC.

Whatever happens with the NCAA/investigations/suspensions/probations/death penalty/titles stripped/nuclear holocaust is going to happen anyway.
