You're comparing a top 10 defense in VaTech to TCU's depleted ranks? Hugo, you so crazy.

I'm sure he knows, I think he's more upset that some (not really many at all) LSU fans think one game makes their offense better.

Don't care how depleted they may be, TCU secondary at least looked legit. Made Mett look that much more impressive too.

Tcu lost two offensive possessions because of a fumbled kickoff and a kickoff return for a td so the defensive stats are skewed a bit to favor lsu. It is amazing to see how dominant one team looks statistically and it doesn't really matter because that was still a ball game late. Hama sucked and were never in danger...their defense is insane. Hope mett repeats his performance from last year.

A new OC and an offseason made LSU's offensive better; one game demonstrated it.

TCU was missing their best defensive player and hence got no pass rush the entire game. Would have been interesting to see if Mett would have had all that time on 3rd down if he were playing. Probably not, but just one or two plays where Mett got pressure on 3rd down could have made a difference.

LSU's offense looked solid, no doubt. But Bama's offense went pretty conservative, man. There's almost zero point in posting this now, but thanks.

88 plays. 13/19 3rd down conversions. My pecker is like blue steel right now, cat couldn't scratch it.

This board constantly works in moronic circles. This board has endlessly talked shite about how crappy our OC is throughout the offseason. How dumb and naive do you have to be to think it's not going to get thrown back in your face when we have a big showing in the first game against a nice defense?

I don't see nearly as much of the unbeatable NC talk that you clowns are seeing as I do laughing at idiots who trashed Cam Cameron and some of the optimism turning into belief.

Or 2 pass interference calls in the end zone would have made a difference, took 8 points from LSU

The penalty stats really stand out! :yikes:

Disclaimer: Bama has already had it's ONE holding call this year. We've met our quota. REC says we don't have to have any more this year.

There's definite drop off in talent at the line, but playing Virginia Tech's d-line almost felt like a baptism by fire. I trust that they'll jell as the season goes on, and while they'll never be close to as good as last year's line, they'll be ready by week 10. Judging by how TCU's offense performed, Bama should be juuuuuust fine.
