Yes.

Dooley was in a make or break year, he returned 10/11 starters on a nationally ranked top 25 defense. Dooley some how came to the conclusion that it was the perfect time for a 3/4 swap and to hand the reigns over to a guy whose never called a defensive play in his life.

Sunseri the worst hire in SEC history, no question.

Even our offense got over 550 yards, so I'm gonna say...no.

Was it a bad hire, yes. Was it "the worst hire in SEC history" no.

False...

He was a DC at Pitt, Illinois State, and Alabama A&M.

let me rephrase that.

a guy who has never called a meaningful defensive play in his life.

To be fair, they started for Tennessee, it doesn't mean Sunseri had much to work with if you have followed Tennessee football closely over the past decade or so.

He is the worst d-coordinator in the modern era of football at any level. No doubt in my mind.

In 2011 JJ managed to lead a TD drive on nothing but running plays

Kiffin is a good coach though. He just took a dump on UT.

Mike Price gets my vote. Didn't even make it through the off-season and directly lead to Mike Shula.

Dooley left the dump there and just covered it with a trash bag. He didn't even bother lighting a candle or spraying Febreeze.

Yea, but the question was

quote:

worst hire

and it obviously turned out to be a horrible decision to hire him.

In our defense wouldn't this have been JJ's strong suit as opposed to havin to pass the ball?
